USA Face the Wrath of England First Up in RWC 2019

The USA Eagles are to face the wrath of England first up in RWC 2019. The North Americans will open their campaign in Japan against the world’s current no 2 side on Thursday September 26. The late entrance into the tournament sees the Eagles debuting five days after Argentina vs France and four after England vs Tonga.

Of the USA’s four pool matches three are to be played mid-week. Six days after facing England in Kobe, the USA will play against France in Fukuoka. From there the Eagles will depart Kyushu island to return to Honshu to face Argentina on Wednesday October 09. Four days later the Eagles face Tonga in Hanozono.

In terms of World Rankings the USA’s games are to get progressively easier. At present the five teams are ranked in the order of England, France, Argentina, Tonga and the USA. A lot could change between now and the tournament kick-off. Indeed England was eliminated at the Pool stage in 2015 while Argentina made the Semi Finals.

Eagles players, staff and supporters can now begin planning for RWC 2019. Supporters are to have the opportunity of attending matches in different cities.
