Pumas Prop Joins Barcelona

Former Pumas prop Bruno Postiglioni is to continue his professional career at Barcelona. The 30-year-old will play in Spain for the Cataluña side.

The La Plata native joins the Spanish club after prior experience in Italy. He played for Zebre in the now Guinness Pro 14 Championship from 2015-2017. His move there came following a two-year battle with Lucas Noguera Paz to be Los Pumas’ back-up Loose Head prop to Marcos Ayerza.

Noguera Paz went to Rugby World Cup 2015 and is now the starting Pumas Loose Head. For Argentina, Postiglioni earned 18 caps. His debut was against Uruguay in 2012 while his final cap came against Paraguay in 2015.

At Barcelona Postiglioni is to join two other Argentine players. Barcelona. They are hooker Martín García Veiga who has six caps and Bautista Güemes who is uncapped. Both players arrived in Spain this season from France.
