Argentine Winger Red Carded in France

An Argentine winger was red carded playing in France on Friday. Lucas Caneda from Buenos Aires was sent-off for tackling a player in the air.

The players collided following an up-and-under from Caneda’s team, Charente. In jumping to collect the kick, Mont de Marsan winger Julian Cabannes fell dangerously onto his head and neck.

Aged 36, Caneda joined Charente this season from Aix-en-Provence. He is into his third season of playing professional rugby in France. He joined from Pueyrredón, doing so after having been a fringe option for higher honors but remaining uncapped.
