Round 6 of the Top 14 takes place this weekend. The French championship has been unpredictable so far this season and more surprises may well transpire in on Saturday and Sunday. Seven Americas players have been named thus far with as many as a dozen set to take part across seven matches.
It’s an All-Americas loose forward trio for the second week running at Toulon start Juan Martín Fernández Lobbe, Facundo Isa, and Samu Manoa against La Rochelle. Even early in the season it’s a must-win game for Toulon as they start to drift away from the table-toppers.
Directing traffic for Agen will be Ignacio Mieres, who starts against Toulouse on Saturday. Manuel Carizza is at lock for Racing 92 and Juan Imhoff continues to moonlight as a fullback when Lyon comes to town. Francisco Gómez Kodela is on the bench for the visitors.
Sunday’s lineup have not yet been named but a handful of Americas players could be involved. Brive travel to Montpellier with Taku Ngwenya in the mix for a spot on the wing. Castres trio Rodrigo Capó Ortega, Benjamín Urdapilleta, and Taylor Paris are all likely to face Clermont and Patricio Fernández at Stade Pierre Antoine.
