Guinness Pro 14 – Round 5 Preview

Round 5 of the Guinness Pro 14 kicks-off today. The Celtic-Italian-South African League will have four Friday fixtures this round. The three remaining matches will take place on Saturday.

Both the USA and Canada are to have what if players in the opening fixture. The Glasgow Warriors take-on Benetton Treviso, doing so Tommy Seymour starting. The Italians will have Robert Barbieri on the bench. Seymour is from Tennessee while Barbieri is from Ontario. They are capped by Scotland and Italy respectively.

Back for the Cardiff Blues in round 5 is Blaine Scully. The USA flier is not only back to fitness but will captain the Welsh team. The Blues play away against Munster in Ireland. Scully will play on the right wing in the Saturday fixture.

A second USA Eagles back will take to the field for a Welsh region on Saturday. Playing for the Dragons in Newport will be Thretton Palamo. The hard-running mid-fielder will make an appearance from the bench against the Southern Kings.

In Italy Zebre take-on Ulster. The fixture will involve the USA eligible Callum Black who will start at Loose Head prop for Ulster. Eduardo Bello could potentially face Black. The Argentine prop will play for Zebre as a replacements. Also named on the bench is fly half Serafin Bordoli.
