Aviva Premiership – Round 5 Preview

Round 5 of the Aviva Premiership takes place this weekend. Matches in the English Domestic League will be played on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The Americas will have a presence of players involved.

The high-flying Newcastle Falcons are eyeing up another win. They have home advantage later on today against London Irish. Both Argentina and Canada are to have played involved. DTH van der Merwe starts on the left wing while Juan Pablo Socino playing inside center and his brother retained as the club’s starting hooker. The performance of hooker Santiago Socino against Bath was nothing short of career changing.

The Worcester Warriors and London Irish may well be the teams battling it out to avoid relegation this season. Worcester host Saracens in Friday. They do so with Eagle Joe Taufete’e on the bench. Former USA captain, Chris Wyles starts on the left wing for the visitors. Also involved will be Juan Figallo. The best Argentine prop is sorely missed by Los Pumas.

Rounding out Friday involvement will be AJ MacGinty. The USA Eagles starting fly half will play in the position for the Sale Sharks against Gloucester. The visitors are still awaiting the return of Mariano Galarza who underwent surgery prior to the new season.

On Saturday Caribbean flier Marland Yarde will play in the East Midlands. The Harlequins travel to face the Northampton Saints at Franklin’s Gardens. The home side are again without Juan Pablo Estelles.

Completing week 5 will be the Wasps at home to Bath. The visiting side will have Ohio native Sam Underhill playing flanker. Underhill moved to England at a young age and was capped by England against Argentina this past June.
