Pumas Add Three for Final Rounds of Rugby Championship

Los Pumas have added three names for the final rounds of the Rugby Championship. Argentina host New Zealand and Australia over the coming weeks in Buenos Aires and Mendoza.

For the two matches Head Coach Daniel Hourcade welcomes back Tomás Lavanini, Leonardo Senatore and Joaquín Tuculet. Lavanini was out through team suspension, Senatore missed the past three games with a knee injury while Tuculet missed out on facing Australia due to becoming a father.

With the trio back in the mix Hourcade now has a 32-man roster. They are back training in Buenos Aires. Of them, Manuel Montero has clearance to play URBA Top 12 rugby for Pucura on Saturday.

Montero made his first appearance for Argentina in more than a year in Canberra. He was a half time replacement for Ramiro Moyano. The Tucumán winger will  not play again in the Rugby Championship. With a broken hand he faces a race against time to play in the November Internationals.

Matías Moroni has recovered sufficiently from an injury against Australia to be named in the roster. This means that Moyano is the one missing Jaguares player, preventing Hourcade from having all players fit. It is welcome news as Argentina chase their second win of the year. The only victory thus was was against Georgia in June.
