Spain confirm Canada and Brazil tests

The Spanish Rugby Federation (FER) has confirmed they they will host two test matches in November against Americas opposition. They will first face Canada on November 18 and then Brazil on November 25. Brazil (CBRu) have also confirmed the match but Rugby Canada are yet to publicly announce their November test series. Venues for both tests have yet to be confirmed.

This will be the first time that Spain have faced Brazil in a test match. They have played Canada on one previous occasion, a 60-22 loss in November 2010 played at the national stadium on the campus of the Complutense University of Madrid.

Both Brazil and Canada are currently below Spain on the official World Rugby Rankings. Spain are currently in 19th spot with Canada in 24th and Brazil at 29th.

Brazil will play Germany and Belgium prior to their match against Spain. Canada have confirmed a match against the New Zealand Māori on November 3 at BC Place in Vancouver and are expected to confirm further European tour matches against Georgia on November 11 and Fiji on November 25.
