Canada seeking first u20 Trophy win against Chile

Jeff Williams has made two changes to his Canadian side to take on Chile in their final pool match of the World Rugby u20 Trophy tournament on Wednesday. His charges will be desperate to come away with victory after convincing losses to Namibia and Japan in their opening fixtures.

One change up front sees Jamie McNaughton add size to the back row, replacing James O’Neill in the No 7 jersey. In the backs the speedy Niko Clironomos swaps his bench spot with Josh Thiel at inside centre. One further alteration in the replacements is the return of Dewald Kotze as reserve hooker with Jack McRogers instead covering the flank and Thomas Davidson dropping out.

The tournament has shifted to the Estadio Domingo Burgueño in Punta del Este for round three, returning to Montevideo for Sunday’s final fixtures. If Canada win they will play for 5th place overall against a team yet to be determined.

Kickoff is set for a 11:30am local, 10:30am Eastern. A live stream will be provided by World Rugby.
