Costa Rica Run Riot Against Panama

The host nation of the 2017 South American C Championship, Costa Rica ran riot against Panama this afternoon. Costa Rica opened the tournament with a comprehensive 91-5 win at Liceo Franco Costarricense in Concepción de Tres Ríos, 17km north of the national capital of San José.

The result sends a warning to the two-time reigning champions, Guatemala. Los Jaguares are looking to win their their straight title but may find the going tough as Costa Rica have demonstrated improvement.

Costa Rica and Guatemala are to meet on the final day of match competition in this year’s South American C Championship. Their meeting will be played on Saturday September 02. Before then both countries have one other test match to deal with.

On Wednesday both are tho return to the field. Costa Rica will take on newcomers, Nicaragua while Panama are to be up against Guatemala. A win for Costa Rica will set-up a winner-takes-all final against Guatemala.
