Nelson Lands All Blacks vs Argentina in 2018

Nelson has landed the All Blacks’ 2018 home match against Argentina. The South Island city will have a first-ever opportunity at playing host to New Zealand’s national rugby team.

Nelson hosted three matches during Rugby World Cup 2011. One of these was the USA vs Italy. It will now host a Rugby Championship match, joining Auckland and Wellington as the three home venues for the 2018 tournament.

Los Pumas are to play at Trafalgar Park while Australia and South Africa’s matches in New Zealand are to be played in Auckland and Wellington respectively. Prior to the Rugby Championship France will play three test matches in June. They are to take place in Auckland, Wellington and Dunedin.

New Zealand’s home Rugby Championship matches are to be in round 2, 3 and 4 of the 2018 competition. The same is true of the current, ongoing edition of the tournament. The yet to be confirmed All Blacks’ away games are expected to be in Sydney, Buenos Aires and Johannesburg.
