Wyles leads Saracens against USA Islanders

Former US Eagles captain Chris Wyles will lead Saracens in a pre-season friendly against the USA Islanders select side on Thursday. The ‘Atlantic Cup’ match takes place at the National Stadium in Devonshire, Bermuda, with kickoff slated for 7:30pm local time.

Lining up for the European champions are a host of international players including former Springboks Vincent Koch and Schalk Burger, the latter set to play in the second half. England caps Nick Isiekwe, Calum Clark, and Alex Lozowski are named in the squad, as are Wales international Dominic Day and France hooker Christopher Tolofua, set to make his Saracens debut after joining from Toulouse in the off-season.

Absent are all six traveling Lions and initial squad member Billy Vunipola, all of whom are on extended rest and rehabilitation. Americas props Titi Lamositele and Juan Figallo also miss out do to injury. The Islanders run-on side has yet to be confirmed.
