Roan Back Playing in Argentina

Guillermo Roan is back playing in Argentina. The former Puma played this past weekend for La Plata in the URBA Top 12 against Newman. Playing at home his team won the match 30-22.

The 29-year-old returned to La Plata after playing in England and Italy. He played for London Welsh, Wasps, Rovigo, Cavalieri Prato and Zebre. Prior to playing in Europe he played for the Pampas XV, the former version of what has become Los Jaguares.

Roan played for the Pampas XV as a player who went through the PladAR system. He played for Argentina at both u19 and u20 levels and has earned seven caps for Argentina. He earned his debut in 2009 against Chile, playing at Tight Head prop. His three most recent appearances were at Loose Head prop against England and Georgia in June 2013.

While at Zebre, Roan was used as a Tight Head. His weight and height makes him a natural for the position. He is 1.90m tall and weighs 120kg. The smaller Bruno Postiglioni remains at Zebre, he is used at Loose Head prop in the Guinness Pro 12.
