Jaguares Lose Flanker for Melbourne Rebels

Jaguares flanker Juan Manuel Leguizamón has been ruled out of facing the Melbourne Rebels. The back-rower suffered a knock to his head playing against the Waratahs on Saturday in Sydney. Protocol requires that he play no part in the final round match this coming weekend.

Should he recover well, Leguizamón will be fine to play in the opening round of the Rugby Championship. Los Pumas are to play away to South Africa in Port Elizabeth on August 19.

Rodrigo Báez, Benjamín Macome, Pablo Matera and Leonardo Senatore are the back-row options currently training in Australia. Macome played second-row against the Waratahs, doing so despite specialists Juan Cruz Guillemaín and Ignacio Larrague both being available. Larrague featured from the bench.
