27 Jaguares to Travel to Australia

A 27-man Jaguares roster has been named to travel to Australia. The Raúl Pérez coached side will play matches against the Waratahs in Sydney and the Rebels in Melbourne on July 08 and 14 respectively.

The tour marks Los Jaguares’ first ever trip to play in either city. Both matches are to kick-off at 6:45am Argentine time.

The squad will depart Buenos Aires on Monday. Leading the team will be Agustín Creevy. The hooker was not involved in Friday’s home defeat against the Southern Kings. He joins Julián Montoya, giving Párez two options at hooker.

Not touring are injured players Matías Alemanno, Tomás Lavanini and Tomás Lezana. Also missing is winger Manuel Montero. Injury this season has seen him rarely featuring at all. His played from the bench against the Western Force but was not deemed fit enough to play for Argentina in June.

The 27-man roster will depart from Buenos Aires today. The long trip to Sydney will see the team arriving on Monday. Following the tour the team will continue home with Daniel Hourcade to then take over and prepare the Pumas roster for the Rugby Championship.
