Alemanno Blow for Jaguares

An injury blow for Los Jaguares has seen Matías Alemanno ruled out of touring Australia. The second-rower was hurt playing on Friday for Los Jaguares against the Southern Kings.

In being ruled out Head Coach Raúl Pérez is without three of the top four second-rowers. Tomás Lavanini is also out through injury. Neither player will feature again for Los Jaguares this year. Also missing is Marcos Kremer. The teenager was injured in the recent Junior World Championship.

Called up to tour Australia is San Juan second-rower Juan Cruz Guillemaín. He joins Guidi Petti and Ignacio Larrague as the three specialist players in the position.

Utility forward Benjamín Macome has also been named for the tour. He has prior experience playing for Los Pumas at No 8, flanker and second-row.

Los Jaguares depart Buenos Aires tomorrow. They fly from Aeroparque, connecting in Santiago de Chile before arriving in Sydney on Monday July 03.
