Son of Pumas Legend To Play For Aurillac

The son of Pumas legend Mauricio Reggiardo is to play for Aurillac. 20-year old Bernard Reggiardo has joined the Pro D2 side for the upcoming season. He makes the move from Castres where he was involved in the espoirs last season.

Bernard Reggiardo is qualified to play for both Argentina and France. This is based on his father having played for Castres from 1996-2005 and coached for the better part of the subsequent years.

Mauricio Reggiardo played in Rugby World Cups 1999 and 2003. He retired after having earned his 50th cap for Argentina. His final cap was against Ireland in Adelaide, Australia though he would start against the British & Irish Lions in Cardiff, Wales in 2005.

His son, Bernard has been involved in u18’s and u20’s with Argentina. He is, however, a vastly different player. While Mauricio was a Tight Head prop, Bernard plays at scrum-half.
