Segundo Tuculet To Play in France

Segundo Tuculet is to play in France. The 23-year-old has signed a one year deal with Narbonne to play in the Pro D2. His contract has the option of an additional season.

The younger brother of Pumas Joaquín, Segundo Tuculet has been a fringe player for both Los Jaguares and the Argentina XV. He received game time in Super Rugby in 2016 at outside center.

Capable of playing in the mid-field or the back-three, Segundo Tuculet is the latest player to leave Argentina based on a lack of opportunities. With the UAR having Los Jaguares as the country’s only professional side places are limited.

In 2016 Segundo Tuculet was close to a spot in the senior roster. He made his test debut against Chile in June, scoring two tries. This year others were given opportunities ahead of him. Among them were Emiliano Boffelli, Ramiro Moyano and Bautista Ezcurra.

Segundo Tuculet’s new club is a former French powerhouse. The club dreams of a return to the Top 14. The Club Los Tilos back will be the latest Puma at the club. Among former players are some of Argentina’s biggest names over the past two decades. Ignacio Corleto, Mario Ledesma, Gonzalo Longo, Gonzalo Quesada and Martín Scelzo all played for Narbonne.
