Argentina XV Finalize Roster for Nations Cup

A 28-man Argentina XV roster has been finalize for the Nations Cup. The Argentine players are to travel to Montevideo on Wednesday to prepare for the World Rugby Nations Cup. Matches are to take place between June 10 and 19.

Confirmation of the roster sees minor changes to the training squad which had been named previously. The team arrived back from Chile today. They played in a Sudamérica Rugby Cup fixture yesterday, winning 31-15.

Despite Argentina having three home tests this month there are, nonetheless, to be Jaguares players traveling to Uruguay. These include Cristian Bartoloni, Joaquín Díaz Bonilla, Felipe Ezcurra, Facundo Gigena, Juan Cruz Guillemaín, Ignacio Larrague and Roberto Tejerizo.

Although there are such Super Rugby players in the squad the Argentina XV is to be captained by flanker Lautaro Bavaro. The 22-year-old will lead the side from flanker.

First up for the Argentina XV will be Russia. The teams are to meet on Saturday June 10 at the Estadio Charrúa. Game two will see the Argentina XV facing Spain on Wednesday June 14. Game three will be against Emerging Italy on Sunday June 19. Both will also be at the Estadio Charrúa.
