New Faces in the Argentina XV

New faces are now in the Argentina XV. The national ‘A’ side made late changes to the roster to face Chile on Saturday in Santiago. The changes were brought about by injuries and are connected to the current preparation of Los Pumas for June Internationals against England and Georgia.

Germán Schulz was added to Los Pumas’ roster earlier this week. The Sevens player was added due to the loss of Santiago Cordero and Manuel Montero. Neither player is expected to play against England. Also in doubt is Ramiro Moyano. This saw the uncapped Emiliano Boffelli and center Matías Moroni training as the starting Pumas wingers.

Schultz, Montero and Boffelli had all been in the initial Argentina XV roster for Chile. But based on the needs of Daniel Hourcade the Argentina XV has made changes. Added to the roster are Franco Sábato, Facundo Gigena, Santiago Mare and Jerónimo Ureta.

The changes see Facundo Gigena replacing Franco Barda, Santiago Mare coming in for Manuel Montero, Jerónimo Ureta for Ignacio Larrague and Franco Sábato for Germán Schultz.

Chile named a 25-man roster for the match earlier this week. It features the country’s leading players.
