Nevers to Play in Pro D2

Thanks to a 35-9 victory Nevers have secured their place in the Pro D2. The central France side earned promotion from the Fédérale 1, overcoming Chambéry.

The result sees the addition of more players from the Americas into France’s second division. Two former Pumas, midfielder Horacio San Martín and second row Tomás Vallejos, are presently at the club in addition to uncapped front rower Emiliano Coria.

Recruitment for the 2017-2018 season is already underway. Confirmed in joining the club is Canadian Conor Trainor. He will do so from Vannes, a club to have recently completed its first season in the Pro D2.
