Mexico has named a 23-man roster to face Bermuda. The teams are to meet this Saturday in a Rugby Americas North – North Zone Championship match. The fixture is to be the first of 2017 for both countries.
Las Serpientes Head Coach Ruben Duque has named a roster packed with names from 2016. Last year Mexico won the Americas Rugby North Championship title which doubled as Rugby World Cup qualifying. The country advanced to the next round, falling to Colombia.
Duque has kept faith with many players involved in facing Colombia. Of those who started against Los Tucanes eleven are traveling to face Bermuda. They are Marcos Flegmann, Mizeal Loredo, Max Douek, Santiago Prieto, Roberto Calderón, Gonzalo Pons, Simón Pierre, Andrés Rodriguez, Pascal Nadaud, Fharid Samano and Agustín Sánchez.
The fixture is to be the first of three matches this month for Mexico. Game two will be at home on May 27 against the USA South. Their third match will be away to the Cayman Islands on June 17.
