Americas Weekend Guide: Challenge Cup Final

The first of two European club finals this weekend will take place on Friday. In the Scottish capital of Edinburgh, Gloucester and Stade Français are to lock horns. The Aviva Premiership vs Top 14 match-up is to be a curtain-raiser for Saturday’s Champions Cup Final at the same venue between Clermont and Saracens.

Taking to the field for both teams on Friday will be one Argentine player. The English club will have the presence of Mariano Galarza while the French will have Sergio Parisse. Galarza will play from the bench, covering second-row. The Italian captain, Parisse, will lead the Parisians.

Stade Français is to be coached by Gonzalo Quesada for the final time. The former Pumas fly half is to move to Biarritz next season. He has already won a Top 14 title as Stade Français coach and is now after a European one to take with him to the Basque country.
