Horacio Agulla scored for Castres this weekend. The former Pumas winger crossed for a second half try against Brive. The score was Castres’ third and final try of the fixture. Brive also scored three tries but it was the boot of uncapped fullback Gaetan Germain which saw them home.
Brive’s 33-27 victory saw the club end the season on a high. It was not enough to book a spot in the play-off’s though. The club missed out only just. Finishing with 38 competition points, Brive finish the season 8th overall. Racing 92 finished in 6th on 62 points and Stade Français in 7th on 59.
For Horacio Agulla the try was about the past and the present. He played for Brive from 2008-2010. It was his second French club and would be followed by six years in England playing for both the Leicester Tigers and Bath. He joined Castres this season and is now in with a shot at playing for the Top 14 title.
His try against Brive was set-up by Julien Dumora. The replacement broke the line and off loaded to an unmarked Agulla. The veteran Argentine celebrated with a swan dive under the posts.
