Video: Sergio Parisse Scores 52 meter Intercept Try from Dan Carter

Italian captain Sergio Parisse scored a 52 meter intercept try from a Dan Carter pass. The No 8 went over for a first half try in the battle of Paris, a match won 27-23 by Stade Français.

Parisse latched onto a pass from the Rugby World Cup winner and showed that he still has speed despite now being 33 years of age. The try can be seen below.

Capped 126 times by Italy, Parisse has previously been referred to, by the UAR, as the biggest loss to Argentina in history. Parisse moved to Italy aged 17 from his native La Plata. He did so with his parents, both of whom are Italian.

He is not expected to play for Italy in the upcoming June Internationals. Instead he is to, like June 2016, be given time to recover from a long season. It is part of a long-term plan for him to play at Rugby World Cup 2019 in Japan.

In June the Italians are to play against Scotland, Australia and Fiji. The match against Scotland will be on neutral ground. It is to take place in Singapore.
