Ireland Consider Argentina as Nightmare Draw for RWC 2019

Ireland consider Argentinas a a nightmare draw for Rugby World Cup 2019. Writing for the Irish Independent, Tony Ward has named the prospect of being drawn together with Los Pumas and South Africa as the worst possibility.

The draw for Rugby World Cup 2019 will take place on May 10 2017. The 12 automatic qualifiers, based on Rugby World Cup 2015, will be seeded into four pools. In being ranked 9th in the world, Argentina face a certain pool of death.

Being pooled with Ireland is a one in four chance for Argentina as is Ireland. Ireland join Australia, England and New Zealand in Band 1 while South Africa join France, Scotland and Wales in Band 2. Ward names Argentina as the team to avoid from Band 3.

Named as the dream draw is either being pooled with Scotland or Wales from Band 2 and Georgia or Italy in Band 3. The threat Ward considers Argentina as being sees him underline the danger by saying anyone but the Argentinians from Band 3. Los Pumas join Italy, Georgia and hosts, Japan in Band 3.
