Canadian duo Ghislaine Landry and Julia Greenshields have been named in the official HSBC Dream Team for the Kitakyushu 7s. Landry was instrumental in the team’s road to the Cup Final and finished as the tournament’s top points scorer, with the captain kicking two wide angle conversions to stretch New Zealand to the brink of defeat. Greenshields enjoyed a breakthrough tournament and tied the USA’s Naya Tapper for the most tries with eight in all.
Cup winners New Zealand contribute three players, including the outstanding Kelly Brazier and a pair of forwards in Ruby Tui and Portia Woodman, the latter touching down seven times over the weekend. Matching Woodman for tries and completing the forwards is Fiji’s Miriama Naiobasali, with lightning quick teammate Ana Maria Roqica rounding out the side.
