Test match rugby returned to the Americas on Saturday. The one, and only, match of April saw the Dominican Republic playing at home against Curaçao. With the Copa de Rugby Dominico-Curazaleña on the line, the Dominican Republic powered to a 32-17 victory.
The result has consequences for both countries in the Americas Rankings. With the teams trading points based on the result the updated Americas rankings see Curaçao falling just above the 39th, and bottom, ranked El Salvador.
The new rankings points see the Dominican Republic rising from 31.05 to 31.58 points. This translates into a rise in the Americas Rankings from 23rd to 21st position. Both Turks & Caicos and Guatemala drop one spot respectively as a result.
