Video: Hirayama Scores as Canada Down New Zealand

Nathan Hirayama finished off a sensational try as Canada downed New Zealand in the Singapore 7’s this morning. The all-time leading scorer in Canadian 7’s history scored in the left corner. The try came from a Justin Douglas break. Having sliced through the defense he came within meters before off-loading to John Moonlight who, in turn, found Hirayama.

The win helped propel Canada into the final. They would meet neighbors the USA in an historic all-North American 7’s Final. Canada went on to be crowned Singapore Champions, defeating the USA 26-19 in the final.
