Canadian women’s 7’s Head Coach John Tait has named his roster for the inaugural Kitakyushu Sevens. The competition is to be the 4th leg of the 2016-17 HSBC World Rugby Women’s Sevens Series.
The Canadians enter the event in fine form. They finished third in last month’s USA Sevens tournament in Las Vegas. The result also means Canada are in third position overall in this season’s HSBC Sevens Series.
For Kitakyushu, Tait has made two alterations. Included are Ashley Steacy and Julia Greenshields while Kayla Moleschi and Caroline Crossley miss out due to injury.
Canada are to compete in Pool C in Kitakyushu, doing so against England, Spain and the USA. The one South American competitor is Brazil who will compete in Group B.
