Brazil has unveiled a new main sponsor. Hotel chain, Accor Hotels has agreed to a two year contract with the CBRu. The arrangement has the possibility of being extended for an additional two years.
The agreement will see AccorHotels supporting Brazil Rugby during the 2017-2020 Olympic period. Having had both men’s and women’s teams at the 2016 Olympic Games, Brazil now aims to do so again for Tokyo 2020.
The announcement came together with the 7th edition of the Troféu Brasil Rugby, Brazil’s annual rugby awards night. Recognizing excellence across 18 categories the following were the official winners:
