A try from Juan Pablo Socino lead Newcastle to victory over Gloucester on Friday. The former Puma scored the Newcastle Falcons’ one and only try as they ran-out 16-14 winners at Kingston Park.
The Rugby World Cup 2015 center went over in the first half. His try saw him making two charges from as many phases, scoring from the second raid. He was joined in the team by Canadian Evan Olmstead who played second-row. Opposing Olmstead was Mariano Galarza, another 2015 Puma.
In winning the Falcons move to within one point of Gloucester. Neither side is in a position to compete for a place in the play-off’s but Champions Cup qualifying remains open.
