Americas Weekend Guide: Aviva Premiership – Week 19

Week 19 of the Aviva Premiership will be played this weekend. Matches will take place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Taking to the field for English clubs are to be a variety of players from the Americas.

First up will be the Sale Sharks at home to the Worcester Warriors. Both clubs have Americas’ players on their rosters. Starting for the home side at fly half will be USA play-maker AJ MacGinty. Involved for the visitors will be Joe Taufete’e who is to start at hooker.

The remaining Friday fixture will also be played in the north. The Newcastle Falcons host Gloucester. The only home losses the Falcons have had this season have been against leading sides. On Saturday the Exeter Chiefs will be after maximum points as the host bottom of the table Bristol. The visitors are to have the presence of former Puma Gastón Córtes. The front-rower is to start at Tight Head prop.

Saturday’s big game, though, is to be the battle of London. Wembley Stadium will be the setting for Saracens vs Harlequins. Having featured heavily last weekend in the crushing of the Glasgow Warriors both Juan Figallo and Marcelo Bosch are being rested. Involved, though, will be USA prop Titi Lamositele. He will play from the bench. Caribbean flier Marland Yarde starts for the Quins on the right wing.

Closing the round will be Wasps vs Northampton on Sunday. Puma Juan Pablo Estelles misses out for the East Midlands side.
