Mitre Sponsor Panama Rugby

Mitre is now the sponsor of Panama Rugby. The British company is providing Panama with rugby-specified equipment including headgear and shoulder pads which are to be distributed in the country’s rugby clubs.

The agreement comes at what is an exciting time for Panama Rugby. The national men’s team, Los Diablos completed an historic first-ever victory in late 2016. The win over El Salvador is certain to make the 2017 South American C Championship highly compelling.

Nicaragua and Honduras are making moves to potentially join the competition. If so then the tournament would expand from four to six competitors. Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala and Panama are the current members.

Mitre is the worlds oldest sports brand. With over 200 years of heritage the British sportswear and equipment supplier was established in Huddersfield, England in 1817.
