An Uruguayan club is through to the Semi Finals of Argentina’s Torneo del Interio B. Montevideo’s Carrasco Polo earned the right to compete at the Semi Finals stage of the Torneo Interior B, the second tier level of Argentina’s national club competition.
Carrasco Polo booked their spot in the final four by winning away in Mar del Plata this weekend. The club won the Quarter Final 18-13 against Universitario de Mar del Plata.
Old Christians Club also had a win this weekend, defeating Jockey Club de Villa María 33-26. The result means Old Christians Club sit in second position in their group on 12 competition points. One more win will see the club secure a place in the Quarter Finals in the Nacional de Clubes B.
Also in action was a third Montevideo club, Old Boys. Facing Buenos Aires giants, CASI Old Boys fell to a 40-17 defeat. The results sees Old Boys sitting in bottom position of their group with 4 competition points. With two matches left to play the club could improve its standing.
