Dargan to play for Irish Students against England

Former US All-American lock Pierce Dargan has been selected to play for Irish Students against their English counterparts at Oxford on Sunday, March 2. The 24-year-old returned to Trinity College (Dublin University) following the conclusion of the PRO Rugby Season, where he was a standout with the Ohio Aviators, starting 11 of 12 in the second row and scoring two tries. Though born in Ireland, Dargan remains eligible for US Eagles selection.

Former Leinster, Bristol, and Moseley winger Darren Hudson will captain the side. Other notables are a handful of Ireland age-grade players including Leinster Academy lock Jack Dwan, midfielder Fergal Cleary, and 2016 World Rugby u20 Championship prop James Bollard.

The Irish Students side is selected from a host of schools including: Dublin University (DU), Dublin Institute of Technology, University College Dublin (UCD), Maynooth University, University of Ulster, University College Cork, Cork Institute of Technology, Mary Immaculate College, Limerick Institute of Technology, and National University of Ireland Galway.
