Americas Weekend Guide: Champions Cup Quarter Finals

In Europe it is all eyes on the Champions Cup this weekend. Contesting the Quarter Finals are to be clubs from England, France, Ireland and Scotland. The four winners will go on to compete in the Semi Finals on the weekend of April 21-23.

The Quarter Finals have a Saturday-Sunday split with two matches each day. The Saturday fixtures are not to see players from the Americas involved. Patricio Albacete of Toulouse has been left out.

Sunday is to be different. The England vs Scotland match-up will see involvement from both Argentina and the USA. Starting for the London club will be Juan Figallo and Marcelo Bosch. They are to play at Tight Head prop and Outside Center respectively. Washington state’s Titi Lamositele will feature as a replacement. Tennessee’s Tommy Seymour is to play wing for Glasgow. Eagle Greg Peterson is back to play from the bench for the Warriors.

The all-French clash in Clermont sees another returning from injury. Patricio Fernández is back for the first time this year. He will cover fly half behind the leading French No 10, Camille Lopez. Samu Manoa and Juan Martín Fernández Lobbe are both to play for Toulon from the bench.
