2018 World Rugby Junior World Championship Returning to Argentina

The 2018 World Rugby Junior World Championship is returning to Argentina. Following meetings between the UAR and World Rugby, UAR President Carlos Araujo has confirmed that “it is practically decided

No official announcement has yet to come from World Rugby. Notwithstanding sources in Argentina are reporting that the tournament will, like 2010, be played in Santa Fé province. Araujo notes that “the intention is to play the pool matches, Quarter Finals, Semi Finals and Final in Rosario“.

The possibility also exists of utilizing other cities. In 2010 Paraná and Santa Fé both joined Rosario in hosting the tournament. World Rugby’s Simon Kibble is presently in Rosario inspecting clubs. These include Old Resian, Atletico del Rosario, Universitario and Duendes.
