34-man Uruguay Roster for RWC Qualifiers

Preparation is well underway for the South American Championship. This year’s edition doubles as qualification for Japan 2019. Training at the Estadio Charrúa’s High Performance Center are a 34-man Uruguay Roster. The same athletes are to compete in the upcoming RWC Qualifiers against Brazil, Chile and Paraguay.

The RWC qualifiers are to be played in May. Uruguay is to have home advantage against Americas Rugby Championship rivals Brazil and Chile. The fixture against Paraguay is to be Uruguay’s one match on the road.

With the winning side advancing to the final round of Americas qualifying, Los Teros are well placed. In addition to the friendly venue list, Uruguay also happens to have the best facilities of all four. 34 players are now training at the Estadio Charrúa from Monday to Wednesday.

The road to Japan 2019 will get underway for Uruguay on May 13. Los Teros will take-on Paraguay in Asunción. It is to be followed with home qualifiers against Brazil and Chile on May 20 and 27. The winner will await the results of Canada vs USA series, facing the runner-up later this year.
