Mexico National Club Final Booked

The Mexico national club final has been booked. Competing in the 2017 Mexico Campeonato Nacional Final are to be Hammerheads Cancún Rugby Club and Black Thunder Rugby Club. The two sides won their respective Semi Finals today to earn the right to battle it out for the right to be crowned national champions.

The two finalists are from different parts of the country. Hammerheads are from the beach resort city of Cancún while Black Thunder is based in Naucalpan located just northwest of Mexico City.

The Hammerheads downed Mexico City club, Wallabies 29-17 to book their spot in the final. Mexico test fullback, Agustín Sánchez was the hero scoring 24 points.

Black Thunder secured their place in the final by defeated Tazmania. Like the Wallabies the club has a name strongly connected to global powerhouses, Australia and the club is also based in the national capital. Like the Wallabies club, Tazmania were beaten Semi Finalists. Black Thunder ran out 22-15 winners.

The 2017 Mexico Campeonato Nacional Final will be played on April 02. It is to take place at the Estadio Olímpico Andrés Q. Roo.
