Los Pumas 7’s Named for Asia

Los Pumas 7’s Head Coach Santiago Gómez Cora has named his roster for Asia. Argentina will compete in the Asia’s two legs of the World Sevens Circuit next month – Hong Kong and Singapore.

Gómez Cora has selected thirteen players, all of whom will travel to Asia. From April 7-9 they will compete in the Hong Kong 7’s and will then do so at the Singapore 7’s on April 15-16.

Included are players who represented the Argentina XV in the Americas Rugby Championship. Santiago Álvarez, Lautaro Bazán Vélez, Fernando Luna and Germán Schulz are all being prepared for potential involvement with Los Jaguares.

Notably missing is Bautista Delguy. The 19-year-old is expected to be added to Los Jaguares roster and go on to make his Pumas debut this year. With Ramiro Moyano impressing on the wing the fullback birth could see Delguy utilized as cover for Joaquín Tuculet.

LOS PUMAS 7’s
Santiago Álvarez, Renzo Barbier, José Barros Sosa, Lautaro Bazán Vélez, Lucas Belloto, Felipe Del Mestre, Fernando Luna, Nicolás Menéndez, Matías Osadczuc, Gastón Revol, Javier Rojas, Franco Sábato and Germán Schulz.
