Jaguares Lose Montoya for Six Weeks

Los Jaguares injury concerns continue to mount. Ruled out of six weeks is Julián Montoya. The second choice Argentine hooker suffered an injury to his left hand and requires surgery.

Earlier today Gaspar Baldunciel was added to the training roster. The Argentina XV hooker is now expected to not only provide support but receive notable game time in the absence of Montoya.

Should Montoya return on time then he will be back to play against the Sunwolves in round 11 on May 06. Between now and then Los Jaguares are to play the Reds and Sharks at home and the Sharks, Bulls and Lions all away.

Also ruled out today is winger Manuel Montero. Having suffered a knee injury during gym preparations the Pucará flier is currently being assessed. He is expected to miss Saturday’s match against the Reds but ought to be fit for Los Jaguares’ following fixture on April 08 against the Sharks.
