Eagles confirm Georgia test venue

The Eagles will play the Lelos in Georgia on June 17. Georgia the state, that is. Georgia, the country, will take on the USA at Fifth Third Bank Stadium on Kennesaw State University campus, located 25 miles north of Atlanta. Kickoff time is to be determined.

It will be the second match of the daunting cross-Americas tour undertaken by the Lelos, which starts in Calgary a week before and ends in Jujuy, Argentina, a week later. For the Eagles it represents the last tune-up before the two-match RWC 2019 qualifier series against Canada, tentatively scheduled to begin the following week.

Fifth Third Bank Stadium has hosted one Eagles match previously, a 32-13 win over Uruguay in 2014 as part of the RWC 2015 Americas 2 qualifiers. It has also been the site of the Women’s Super Series in both 2014 and 2016. The stadium has a regular capacity of 8,300 and uses a hybrid Bermuda grass turf surface. Tickets for the match can be purchased here.
