Uncapped Argentine Prop Joins Guinness Pro 12

Uncapped Argentine prop Alberto Porolli has joined Guinness Pro 12 side Benetton Treviso. The uncapped front-rower has joined the Italian outfit as a medical joker. Alberto De Marchi, Filippo Filippetto, Nicola Quaglio and Cherif Traorè are all presently sidelined.

Porolli joins Benetton Treviso for the remainder of the 2016-2017 season. He does so from Buenos Aires club Newman, the same club that produced Felipe Contepomi. He moved to Newman in the 2009/2010 season from Los Tordos in Mendoza.

Aged 29, Porolli has arrived in Italy as a dual holder of Italian and Argentine passports. While he is uncapped he played for Argentina at u19 level in 2006. He faced Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay.
