Force vs Reds to Have Argentine Referee

The Western Force vs Reds Super Rugby match will have an Argentine referee. Leading official from the Americas, Federico Anselmi will officiate the all-Australian match on Thursday. Anselmo first refereed Super Rugby last season.

Having officiated at the Olympic Games and Tier 2 test rugby there is high hope for Anselmi to referee Tier 1 matches in 2017. No Argentine referee has been on the panel of a Rugby World Cup since 2003. Pablo Deluca was the last official from the South American country to referee a World Cup match.

SANZAAR has also confirmed that Los Jaguares round 2 fixture will be officiated by Jaco Peyper. The South African also took charge of Los Jaguares’ round 1 match against the Southern Kings.

Los Jaguares will face the Stormers in Cape Town on Saturday. Peyper is to be assisted by Rasta Rasivhenge and Cwengile Jadezweni. Shaun Veldsman will be the TMO.
