Canadian Women look for Sydney repeat

Canada will look to repeat their Cup-winning heroics of Sydney when they descend upon Las Vegas this weekend. In winning their second ever HSBC Sevens Series event Canada have qualified as top seeds in their pool and will face Russia, France, and Sudamérica qualifiers Argentina on Day One.

Only two changes are made by head coach John Tait. Teenage prodigy Caroline Crossley is recalled along with veteran Sara Kaljuvee. Missing out is Ashley Steacy, unavailable with family commitments, while Julia Greenshields is included in the Maple Leafs development side named to take part in the Las Vegas Invitational tournament.

Currently in third place on the overall HSBC Series table, Canada sit two points behind second-place Australia and six short of overall leaders New Zealand.
