Uruguay hosted Brazil in a round three Americas Rugby Championship match on Saturday. The home side was far from playing at their best but was able to deliver a bonus point victory. The result gives Los Teros their first win of the competition and places them in a strong position ahead of taking on Canada and Chile.
Brazil’s performance was significantly improved from that of week two. The second half meltdown in Texas saw Os Tupis well and truly put to the sword by the Eagles. Next up for the Brazilians is the toughest ask of all in the tournament – playing away to Argentina. The match will see history made as the world’s southern most city hosts international rugby.
