Agulla Scores as Castres Down Bordeaux on the Road

Argentina’s Horacio Agulla had a fine match today, scoring for Castres who downed Bordeaux on the road. The 29-17 away victory was arguably Castres’ finest match of the season. It gave the Tarn club four competition points and fourth place in the Top 14.

Poor decision making from Bordeaux contributed to the try. Rather than clearing for touch Bordeaux opted firstly to run from deep and secondly to make a chip kick. Castres was thereby able to gain possession well within Bordeaux territory.

The Pumas veteran of three Rugby World Cups crossed in the right corner. Try try came from quick recycling with Agulla simply being perfectly positioned to take advantage of an overlap.
