Brazil will attempt to win their 12th consecutive South American Women’s 7s tournament this weekend in Villa Carlos Paz, Córdoba. Included in their squad of 12 are nine of the team that defeated England in Sydney to win the Challenge Trophy, seven of whom took part in the Olympic Games in Rio.
Headlined by the decorated Paula Ishibashi, the side also features standouts Raquel Kochhann, Beatriz ‘Futuro’ Muhlbauer, Edna Santini, Luiza Campos, Isadora Cerullo and Edna Santini.
Eight teams will contest the title over two days. Brazil will be in Pool A along with Venezuela, Paraguay, and Uruguay. Pool B consists of Argentina, Colombia, Chile, and Peru.
