Brazil have named their group of 26 to prepare for their match against Uruguay in the third round of the Americas Rugby Championship on Saturday. The team will look to rebound from their crushing defeat to the Eagles in Texas with a few new names in contention for the game in Maldonado.
Veteran tighthead Victor Ancina is recalled after missing the USA match, with uncapped prop Matheus Rocha also joining the training group. Gabriel Paganini will be considered in the second row, and flanker Matheus Daniel also back after missing out at Dell Diamond. Uncapped Jacareí youngster Ariel Rodrigues, a flyhalf or fullback, could make his debut if selected to the match day squad.
Dropping out are props Alexandre Alves and Jonatas Paulo, lock Luiz Vieira, flanker Arthur Bergo, and winger Stefano Giantorno. Of those only Alves did not appear in the match on Saturday.
